4 Easy Steps To Self-Esteem and success - Part
4
How self hypnosis can give your self-esteem an boost and help
you gain success.
I named an earlier article of mine `Success & Self-esteem
Go Hand in Hand Together’ because I truly believe that you
cannot have an abundance of one without an abundance of the
other. Sure you can have a little of one without the other, but
who on earth wants that?
So if you need to raise your self-esteem and success rate score
cards read on. Of course if you have already read and completed
Steps 1, 2 and 3 you are almost there already -
congratulations.
Step 4 Start To Do The Things You Don’t Like Doing.
Most of us dislike change in one form or another, it means we
have to try something new, something different, something we
feel uncomfortable about.
Well this step is all about stepping out of your comfort zone
and doing the things you either don’t like doing or you are
uncomfortable about doing.
You feel uneasy about doing things differently because you are
unsure of the outcome, you think the worse will happen if you
do something new or different. But of course when you finally
get around to doing it nothing changes or at least you think
nothing changes but it does.
The thing that changes when you step out of that darned comfort
zone that you’ve been hiding in is that your self-esteem soars,
you get that feel good factor flowing through you, you feel a
success.
So the challenge to you here is to step out of that comfort
zone as often as you can.
I made a conscious decision to get up at least an hour earlier
than I used to, I did it in stages a quarter of an hour earlier
each week for a month and as if that wasn’t uncomfortable
enough I set myself a task to do as soon as I got up each
morning that I didn’t like doing.
Before long this became a routine that I now feel comfortable
with and a lot of the little jobs I was always putting off
previously are now getting done. Things like ironing my shirts
for work, cleaning the bathroom, going for a run (I still have
a few problems with that one), sorting out my paperwork, you
name it they all get done.
Even better than these jobs getting done is that I don’t have
to worry about them anymore, I feel great, I have the rest of
the day to do the things I really enjoy. Yes you got it right
on the button - My Self-esteem has reached new heights and I
intend it to stay there.
You can do exactly the same as I have done, in fact once you
start to think about it you will find so many ways of stepping
out of your comfort zone you won’t be able to stop yourself
from feeling great all day.
Well that was Step 4, the final step and by now your
Self-esteem will be sky high, you will be tasting success and
loving it. You can even take down your Self-esteem Success
Poster that you made in Step 1 if you want, or why not keep it
there as a reminder of how great a person you really
are.
Steve has
for a number of years used self hypnosis and other self
development methods to help him survive the anxieties and
stress that life has thrown at him.
He has recently had to re-invent himself again following being
made redundant at the age of 55 and wants to share with others
how he turned adversity in a positive and productive
aventure.
